Parent Reception

Reception for parents hosted by President David Anderson ’74
Friday, April 10 AND Friday, April 17
Parents of admitted students are invited to attend a wine and hors d’oeuvre reception in St. Paul, Minnesota, hosted by President David Anderson on Friday, April 10, or Friday, April 17, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the St. Paul Hotel, 350 Market Street,St. Paul. The St. Paul Hotel is 10 minutes from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and about 45 minutes north of the St. Olaf campus.

How to register for the parent reception
The online registration form is available at go.stolaf.edu/2019. You will need to register through your student’s applicant status page when he or she signs up for Admitted Student Days.

Room blocks
Please note that a block or rooms has been reserved at The St. Paul Hotel at a special St. Olaf rate for parents interested in staying overnight. This offer is available for the nights of April 10-11 and 17-18. To reserve a room, please call The St. Paul Hotel directly at (800) 292-9292 and ask for the St. Olaf College room block. These rooms will be held until March 22 for the first Admitted Student Day program and until March 29 for the second Admitted Student Day program.

For families flying from far away
We recognize that many families will be coming from far away to the Admitted Students Days programs and that transporting your student down to campus while you attend a reception in St. Paul may not be logistically smooth. In order to help, St. Olaf will offer transportation shuttles to campus for students flying in from far away either Friday afternoon before Admitted Students Day. We hope that this will allow parents flying in from far away that afternoon to head right to The St. Paul hotel while allowing their student to spend the night on campus with current students.
