What to bring for Reunion Weekend

If you forget anything, you can probably find what you need at the Bookstore, Target, or Walgreens. But here are a few reminders of what to bring for Reunion Weekend.

  • Camera, scrapbooks, memorabilia. Put your name on anything important.
  • Reusable water bottle to fill at fountains stationed around campus.
  • A¬†light jacket, umbrella, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent. Spring¬†weather in Minnesota is unpredictable so keep an eye on the forecast before you arrive.
  • A portable high chair if you anticipate needing one for a young one. A few will be available throughout the weekend, but bringing your own in tow will guarantee it’s where you need it, when you need it.

Recreation

Skoglund Athletic Center and Tostrud Center are open limited hours (see Logistics and Details). Bring workout gear, a tennis racket, a Frisbee, and anything else you need to take full advantage of the Saturday morning 5K, Kid’s Camp swimming, the natural lands, and the facilities.

On-campus Housing

Residence hall rooms have the bare essentials: linens, pillow, blanket, towel, and soap. You may want to bring clothes hangers, an iron, a small reading lamp, and an alarm clock. Most halls do not have air conditioning, so we suggest bringing a portable fan, as many students do. The exception to this is Ytterboe where the air conditioning can be quite strong – Golden Oles housed in Ytterboe might like to bring an extra blanket.
