MPR interviews Percy about his new novel

PercyBen267x267Minnesota Public Radio arts reporter Euan Kerr says St. Olaf College Writer in Residence Benjamin Percy’s new novel, Red Moon, “gives werewolves back their teeth and claws while spinning a tale of modern geopolitics.”

Kerr interviewed Percy about everything from his fascination with werewolves to the years of research that go into his novels to “the rumble of his deep voice.”

“Horror was the genre that I kept coming back to; that’s always gripped me in its bony fist,” Percy tells MPR listeners. “I guess it’s rather appropriate that I sound like something that has crawled out a grave.”

Red Moon, Percy’s second novel, was recently released to widespread critical acclaim. Entertainment Weekly calls the novel “sharp pulp,” and CNN included it on a list of “must read books for May.”
