Local CBS affiliate WCCO includes St. Olaf College’s upcoming production of In the Heights on its list of “Best College Productions to See This Year in Minnesota.”

“The many talented young musicians who choose to attend St. Olaf will have an opportunity to show their stuff,” the story notes. “They will fill the 348-seat Kelsey proscenium theater with high-energy salsa, hip-hop, clever rhyming lyrics, and dance.”

In the Heights, directed by St. Olaf Professor of Theater Karen Peterson Wilson ’77, tells the story of a vibrant community in New York’s predominantly Dominican-American Washington Heights neighborhood.

The production opens November 14, and tickets are available on the Theater Department’s website.
