Do we need tickets?
If commencement is outdoors, no tickets are needed for general seating.
If commencement is indoors due to inclement weather, all seating in Skoglund Auditorium will require tickets. Each student receives a total of 3 tickets which they may pick up the week prior to commencement in the Scheduling Office of Buntrock Commons. (Students are sent reminders about this.) Tickets will be available for pick up by the graduating seniors Monday, May 19 through Friday, May 23, 2013 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A student I.D. is needed when picking up tickets. NO TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER 5 P.M., FRIDAY, MAY 23.
Is there accessible seating available?
When students pick up their tickets they may exchange two of the three commencement tickets for tickets in the physically challenged seating area. Tickets for seating in this area are required whether the ceremony is indoors or out. If someone in your party needs accessible seating, please have your student get the tickets when they stop in to pick up their tickets. Seating is very limited if we are indoors.
If commencement is indoors, and your party does not need special seating, you may enter Skoglund Auditorium and sit wherever you wish in the bleachers.
If the ceremony is indoors, is there any other seating?
Viking Theater, The Pause (both in Buntrock Commons), Tomson 280, Kelsey Theater, and Boe Memorial Chapel will carry a simulcast of commencement. No tickets are required for these venues, but please arrive early to ensure there is seating for your party. The ceremony is also broadcast via the campus television network (available only on campus).
What time does seating open?
Seating opens at 1:00 p.m. at all locations. Ticketed seating is held until 1:30 p.m.
