Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How many youth attend the chess camp?
A: The last couple years we have had just under 50 campers in attendance. Our short-term goal is to increase this attendance to 75-100 participants. As we add campers we add instructors, intending to maintain a ratio of 8-12 campers per instructor – with the occasional class creeping up to 14 in order to fit classes by age and rating.
Q: What are the predominant range of ages of the campers?
A: Ages range from 7 year old campers to 50+ year olds. The majority of participants are ages 10-17, and the largest group is ages 11-14.
Q: What are the predominant range of ratings of the campers?
A: Ratings range from Beginner to 2100. The majority of our campers ratings range from 100-1200. The next largest group is commonly 1200-1600.
Q: What is the refund policy?
A: Please read the refund policy on the registration page.
Q: Can I use a credit card to pay for camp other than on-line?
