Summer Chess Camp Fees and Registration Information

Registering for camp is easy!
Register online now on our secure server, or download the registration form and mail it to the St. Olaf Camp Office.

Chess Camp Fees
All class fees include double-occupancy lodging, meals, instructional sessions, all special activities and a camp shirt. Campers are assigned to classes based on several factors primarily including the Camper’s registered section, age, rating/chess strength. If possible the camp will provide a variety of primary instructors from year to year.  Class assignment decisions rest with the camp staff.

Chess Exploration: $640
For players of all ages and strengths. Campers 9 years of age or younger must be accompanied by an adult escort.

Intensive Study Youth: $765
For players under age 17 and rated at least 1500.

Intensive Study: $765
For players 1700 or at least 17 years old.

Chess Fundamentals: $765
For novice to moderate strength adults interested in strengthening their chess knowledge for themselves or for the purpose of teaching others.

Chesscort: $50
For novice to moderate strength adults interested in strengthening their chess knowledge for themselves or for the purpose of teaching others.

Late Fee: $50
For registration received and/or postmarked after June 1.

Adult Escort Fee: $220
An adult must accompany campers under 9 years of age. The escort fee includes meals and housing (double occupancy with their camper) and bowling night.

Single Room Option: $60
A limited number of single-occupancy rooms are available.
You must 19 years or older to request a single room.

Commuter Discount: -$50
Campers commuting to and from camp daily may deduct $50 from resident fees listed above. Commuters tuition includes lunch and dinner, instructional sessions, special activities, and a camp shirt.

Refund Policy:
Written cancellation received by June 1 will receive a refund less the $100 non-refundable deposit. No refunds will be made after June 1.
