In an effort to help high school football players develop to their utmost potential, St. Olaf College offers this exceptional learning camp for offensive and defensive lineman. Unlike most summer camps, this is not a recruit showcase. This camp is an opportunity for players of all skill levels to work on fundamental techniques that are proven to translate into improved game day performance. Campers will leave the Own The Zone football camp better prepared to help their team achieve success in the fall.
This is a two day padded day camp open to any offensive lineman or defensive lineman entering grades 9-12 in the fall of 2014.
Offensive Line: Stance – Steps – Agility – Combination Blocking – Pulling – Blocking a defender in space – Pass Pro Sets and Techniques
Defensive Line: Stance – Strike – Release – Pass Rush Moves – Countering a Double Team – BlockShedding and various other techniques.
Schedule for both days:
9:00 a.m. Registration and check-in
9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Session 1
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Lunch and video
1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Session 2
Football Camp Fee: $110, includes instruction, T-shirt and lunch.
Camp Coaches: Craig Stern, St. Olaf College Head Coach, Justin Lerfald, St. Olaf College Defensive Line Coach, and Eric Yuen, Offensive Line Coach. Experienced and highly qualified OL and DL coaches from other college and high school levels will serve as football camp instructors as well.

What to bring: Helmet, shoulder pads, mouth guard, cleats, practice jersey and gym shoes in case of rain. If you cannot get your pads and helmet from your high school head coach you can rent equipment from St. Olaf College for $20 each for the duration of camp.
Refund Policy: Written cancellation received by June 1 will receive a refund less $25. No refunds after June 1. Substitutions are permitted.
