Craig Stern was named head coach at St. Olaf on February 8, 2013. The 2013 season will be Stern’s 10th at St. Olaf. He joined the staff as the recruiting coordinator and defensive backs coach and was promoted to assistant head coach in 2010. Stern came to St. Olaf after a five-year stint at Concordia-St. Paul. At Concordia-St. Paul, Stern was the defensive coordinator. The Golden Bears’ defense was ranked fourth nationally when they captured a NSIC title in 2003. Stern was the assistant offensive coordinator at Dana College from 1997-1999, and was an assistant coach at Kimball High School in 1996.
Justin Lerfald is in his seventh season at St. Olaf in 2012. His coaching career began in 1999 at UW-River Falls where he served as the offensive line coach. From 2000 to 2005 he served as offensive and defensive line coach at Montgomery-Lonsdale.
Shannon Currier is a former DII head football coach with nearly 20 years of college coaching experience. During his time as a head coach, Currier has won conference championships, participated in DII bowl games and coached numerous all- conference, All-American and even NFL free agent offensive lineman.
