Program Objectives and Intended Outcomes
Student Support Services (SSS) is a student retention program sponsored by St. Olaf College with substantial support from U.S. Department of Education TRiO funds. The program is designed to help ensure academic success for St. Olaf students who meet federal eligibility guidelines and are committed to enhancing their academic experience at the college level.
Student Support Services participants will demonstrate:
- Persistence: 80% of all participants will persist from one academic year to the beginning of the next academic year or graduate and/or transfer from a 2-year to a 4-year institution during the academic year.
- Good academic standing: 80% of all enrolled participants will meet the performance level required to stay in good academic standing at the grantee institution.
- Graduation: 70% of new participants served each year will graduate within six (6) years.
