Health Risk Information, Policies

To students, faculty and staff:

Each year, we provide members of the St. Olaf community with important information regarding topics relevant to our personal lives and to our life together as a community. Here you can find information regarding policies and resources related to campus safety, alcohol and other drug abuse, sexual harassment and sexual assault, accessibility services for people with disabilities and property insurance.

PUBLIC SAFETY
Safety is a high priority for St. Olaf. This section references information that may be of interest to community members, including statistical information required by the Crime Awareness and Campus Security Act.

ALCOHOL AND CHEMICAL USE AND ABUSE
The St. Olaf College mission statement supports the college’s concern for the whole person and the community. That concern motivates the college to do what it can to help persons make responsible decisions and healthy choices in life. This section on alcohol and other drug use provides information required for compliance with the Federal Drug Free Schools and Communities Act Amendment of 1989 (public law 101-226). Information about programs and resources available for faculty, staff and students is also included.

PROPERTY INSURANCE INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS

SEXUAL HARASSMENT
Sexual harassment will not be tolerated at St. Olaf College. This type of behavior is contrary to our efforts to promote an environment in which every member of our community is treated with respect. The information shared here provides an overview of the dynamics of sexual harassment and steps that may be taken should you have questions or wish to report possible sexual harassment activities.

SEXUAL ASSAULT
St. Olaf is committed to the prevention of sexual assault and other sex offenses. The St. Olaf College Sexual Assault Survivor’s Statement included here provides an overview of the rights of persons who have been assaulted and the resources available to them.

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
It is the policy of St. Olaf College to create and maintain an environment in which all may live and work to their fullest potential limited to the least extent possible by individual disabilities. This section provides information regarding services, eligibility requirements and accessible facilities on the St. Olaf campus.
Please find the time to review this information and become familiar with St. Olaf policies and resources. Only by working together as a community can we create an environment that is safe, productive, inclusive and caring for all of our members.

Sincerely,

Roz Eaton-Neeb
Dean of Students
