The Senior Campaign is a student–driven program that educates seniors about the St. Olaf Fund and the importance of philanthropy. A committee of senior students oversees the campaign — everything from creating its logo to planning events and recruiting outreach volunteers. Members of the committee encourage their classmates to honor their time on campus, and make a lasting impact through gifts to the St. Olaf Fund.
Annual gifts to the St. Olaf Fund enhance the college’s immediate priorities and, if desired, may be directed to enrich particular programs, departments, or initiatives. You can also make your gift in honor of or in memory of a person or event.
The 2016 Senior Giving Campaign theme is “For the Future.” This slogan sprouted from the idea that Oles show continued support of our alma mater after graduation through gifts to the Annual Fund. We, as current students at St. Olaf, directly benefit from the Fund, either in the form of a financial aid package or a building restoration. During our last year at St. Olaf, we are encouraging students to think about the best activities, organizations, events or classes they were a part of on campus and to give to that cause so that future Oles can share in that experience.
In other words, the gifts of alumni, parents, and friends of the college are tangible and highly visible on campus and future students benefit from our gifts for years to come.
Our goal is to have 60 percent of St. Olaf seniors participate in our campaign.
$2,000 for every 20% participation we gain!
Your participation is essential
Gifts to The St. Olaf Fund support the annual operating expenses of the college-financial aid, faculty salaries, books, computers and lab equipment, and so much more. The percentage of alumni who give annually is indicative of alumni satisfaction. Every gift increases our percentage and helps show the world you valued your time on the Hill. Make an early gift to be listed in the Commencement Program Honor Roll of Donors.
