We hope your fall is off to a great start! The Walk Yah Yah Board would like to support the Intramural Individual Fitness Challenge which begins on Oct 3 and runs through Dec 11th. This program allows you to gain points for many different type of activities, including walking. Each week you report your activities online, obtain points and if you achieve enough points per week, you are entered into a drawing for a prize at the end of the 4th week. You can continue to improve and then achieve entry into another prize drawing at the end of the 8th week. You may log your workout information daily or at the end of the week. All information is listed on the Intramural web site www.stolaf.edu/recreation/intramurals You may register online and the deadline is Oct 3.
Below are a list of instructions on how to register and if you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Amy Prok in the IM office.
My name is Amy Prok and I am working to organize the Individual Fitness Challenge this year. Kevin has told me that the Walk Ya Ya is encouraging participation in the fitness challenge, and I am so excited! I just wanted to send you some clarification information on how to register correctly:
1. Enter the intramural page (through the athletics link on the St. Olaf homepage)
2. Click on the ‘Registration’ tab on the left side of the intramural page
3. Click on the ‘Create a New Team’ tab on the left side
4. Enter your individual name as the team captain and select IM Fitness Challenge from the tab pull-down
In order to log workout information, click on the ‘Log an Individual Fitness Workout’ on the left side of the Registration page. A sample log and the Individual Fitness Challenge Rules are located on the Individual Fitness page.
Please let everyone know to register by Oct. 3rd!! The program will run from Oct 3-Dec 11th.
