The purpose of assessment in St. Olaf’s General Education (GE) program is to sustain and strengthen student learning within and across courses in the GE curriculum. Assessment is intended to promote faculty and student intentionality in achieving the intended learning outcomes the College has identified for each GE requirement, and to enhance the extent to which those outcomes are realized for our students.
