Support Overview:

If you need help with general computing issues, you should contact the IT Helpdesk, which is located in RML 251. Common Helpdesk requests are often related to accounts and passwords, classroom technologies, equipment checkout, Gmail migration, network folder access, network registration and connectivity, printer setup, and virus removal.

Department Representatives:

You should contact your department representative for help with more complicated technical issues, such as maintenance of departmental computing labs, data backups, development of computing requests, classroom technologies, long-range technology planning, and innovative teaching projects.

The Media Lab:

Staffed by Ben Gottfried and a group of student interns, the Media Lab specializes in graphic & web design, audio & video multimedia projects, and wide-format printing.  In addition, the Media Lab provides customized multimedia workshops for St. Olaf classes and creates online tutorials for multimedia software applications.

Computer Repair:

If you are in need of repair services for St. Olaf equipment, contact the HelpDesk or Computer Repair Services (x3543 or e-mail Please include all relevant information in your message such as your name and phone extension, the location of the equipment, and a full description of of the problem.
