Watch the annual Norwegian Christmas Chapel Services, which in 2013 featured special guest Ragnhild Jepsen, dean of Nidaros Cathedral in Trondheim, Norway. Nidaros Cathedral is built over the burial site of Olaf II, the 11th-century king and patron saint of Norway for whom the college is named. The St. Olaf Choir visited the cathedral this summer and filmed its new one-hour PBS special there alongside the Nidarosdomens Jentekor. The special, titled A St. Olaf Christmas in Norway, premiered nationally December 23. The service also includes Norwegian hymns and the Christmas Gospel, as well as musical performances by the Runestones accordion group and the Lars Skjervheim Hardanger fiddlers group. Also available for viewing: the 2012 and 2011 services.
