Jason’s doctoral dissertation was on the morality of procreation, but he has diverse interests in applied ethics, especially biomedical ethics, and in the philosophy of religion. For instance, Jason has done recent work on the problem of evil, divine hiddenness, the cognitive science of religion, conscientious refusal in healthcare, disability and wellbeing, and Socrates' injunction to follow the argument where it leads. Outside of academia, Jason has been known to play the guitar.
