Sue Newland hails from England. She moved to Northfield in 2004, and started working at St. Olaf college in September of the same year. After completing 6 years as the administrative assistant for The Classical Association of the Middle West and South, she changed direction and was the academic administrative assistant for the Sociology and Anthropology department, where she worked for 2 years. Sue moved to the Philosophy department in January, 2014.
Sue’s main interests are playing trumpet in local groups, including the Minnesota State band, drawing, scrapbooking, gardening, and most recently, horse riding. She is also a member of the College City Sertoma group.
