Jeanne Willcoxon has a BA from Sarah Lawrence College, an MA and Ph.D in theatre history from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and graduated from the American Repertory Theatre’s Advanced Theater Training Institute at Harvard University. She has acted regionally (Shakespeare & Co., Adirondack Theatre Co., American Repertory Theatre) and off-Broadway (Target Margin and New Georges Theatre). Her scholarly work has been published in Theatre Journal, Theatre Topics, Theatre History Studies and she has presented papers at the annual conferences of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education, the American Society for Theatre Research, Mid-America Theatre Conference and the Association of American Geographers. She has taught courses on theatre at St. Olaf, the University of Minnesota and Macalester College and has directed productions at both St. Olaf and the University of Minnesota. Her areas of expertise and interest are Jacobean masques, performance theory and feminist performance.
