Sarah Joslyn has been appointed to serve as the college’s new Coordinator for Gender and Sexuality.
She is currently an area coordinator in the St. Olaf Office of Residence Life, providing leadership for Ytterboe and Hoyme Halls. Joslyn’s new appointment allows her to continue much of her work in Residence Life while also providing programs and advocacy on issues of gender pluralism and sexuality, including support for LGBTQ students, sexual violence prevention, leadership development, and organizational management.
In addition to her extensive background in residential life, Joslyn brings experience and skills in student activities, leadership development, student conduct, new student orientation, and organizational advising and management. She earned an undergraduate degree in strategic communications from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and she holds a master’s degree in college student affairs leadership from the College of Education at Grand Valley State University.
Joslyn joins the staff in the St. Olaf Center for Multicultural and International Engagement, strengthening its mission to promote more engaged conversation and policy deliberation on the intersectional issues that ensure access and inclusion for all members of the St. Olaf community.
