Pre-Major Advisor<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\nOnce on campus, students are assigned a Pre-Major Advisor. During the first two years, Pre-Major Advisors discuss students’ interests and aspirations, act as a guide to a liberal arts education, assist with course registration, and introduce resources to help students explore their academic, career, and lifelong goals.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Major Advising<\/strong><\/h4>\n

\n<\/em>By the end of sophomore year, students transition to a\u00a0Major Advisor, a faculty member within their declared major. Major Advisors offer holistic mentoring and also help students select courses in their major and pursue opportunities in their field of study.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/div> \n\t<\/div> \n\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\n\n\n\t\t\t\n\t\n\t\t

After the first semester, students may change advisors at any time, with permission of the new advisor via an electronic form, through the Student Information System (SIS).<\/h5>\n

Students with multiple majors or concentrations should consult faculty in each program for guidance. Similarly, students who are pursuing\u00a0Pre-Professional Areas of Study<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0should work closely with pre-professional advisors.<\/p>\n
