Networks<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Environmental Studies Senior Seminar (ES 399)<\/strong><br \/>\nGroups of students utilized environmental skills and knowledge to complete a variety of civic engagement projects for local organizations.<br \/>\n<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a01. Rice Creek\/Spring Brook Assessment<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a02. Emmaus Garden Project<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a03. Lashbrook Park Woodland Trail<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a04. SEEDS Farm<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a05. SEEDS Farm Root Cellar Project<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a06. Permaculture Landuse Planning on the SEEDS Farm<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Environmental Health (BIO\/ES 228)<\/strong><br \/>\nStudents developed and facilitated curriculum on nutrition, plant biology, plant growth and farming for 3rd graders at Greenvale Park Elementary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Research Methods in Psychology (PSYCH 230)<\/strong><br \/>\nStudents from two sections work in small groups on semester-long projects for which they designed and conducted research.<br \/>\n<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a01.\u00a0<\/em><em>Heath and Fitness Evaluation for the Northfield YMCA<br \/>\n2.\u00a0<\/em><em>Food and Nutrition Evaluation<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Food and Community Agriculture (ES 281)<\/strong><br \/>\nStudents completed a variety of local projects.<br \/>\n<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a01. St. Dominic Elementary School Garden Project<\/em><br \/>\n<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a02. Farm to School Media Project<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Inclusive Practice: Groups, Organizations &amp; Communities (SW 261)<\/strong><br \/>\nStudents completed a variety of projects with the Friends of Lashbrook Park.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ethnographic Research Methods (SOAN 373)<br \/>\n<\/strong>Group of students conducted interviews to research the effects of academic civic engagement on student learning in collaboration with the Center for Experiential Learning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Intermediate Photography (ART 238)<\/strong><br \/>\nStudents collaborated with youth on the autism spectrum to design and produce a book of photographs that includes photographs by each of the youth participants.<br \/>\n<em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a01.
