She attended St. Olaf College, graduated with a B.A. degree from Carthage College, and earned a MSED degree from Northern Illinois University. Survivors include her husband of 53 years; daughters, Stephanie Hughes, Kristen Hair, and Laurie Lundquist; eight grandchildren; brother, Philip Rasmussen; aunt, <strong>Muriel Rasmussen Sovik &#8217;38<\/strong>; and cousins, <strong>Katherine Sovik-Siemens &#8217;70 P &#8217;05<\/strong> and husband Brian, and <strong>Elisabeth Sovik &#8217;69<\/strong>. She was preceded in death by her parents, <strong>Solveig Thorpe Rasmussen &#8217;31<\/strong> and <strong>Halbert Rasmussen &#8217;29<\/strong>; aunt,<strong> Dorothea Thorpe Glasoe &#8217;34<\/strong> and husband <strong>Paul Glasoe &#8217;34 P &#8217;66 &#8217;71<\/strong>; and uncle, <strong>Ansgar Sovik &#8217;34<\/strong>. The family prefers memorials to Mt.
