Distinction in Studio Art will be phased out by June of 2023. The classes of 2022 and 2023 are eligible for distinction.<\/p>\n<p>Upon completion of the senior show, studio art faculty may recommend a student or students for distinction. From these recommendations, the studio faculty collectively make the final decisions on which students receive distinction.\u00a0 The decisions are based principally on an assessment of the student\u2019s senior work.\u00a0 The work\u2019s conceptual and technical merits are strongly considered as well as the quality of the presentation of the work and the written artist statement.<\/p>\n<p><!-- begin-migrated-from-panel-builder --><!-- end-migrated-from-panel-builder --><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Studio Art majors who have completed the requirements for graduation and are enrolled in the senior capstone course (Art 343: Senior Studies) are eligible for distinction.
