This information will be used for tombstone labels, a price list and insurance coverage.<\/p>\n<p>Tombstone labels with object details will be installed next to your work on the gallery walls.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enter your name, title, and medium exactly how you would like it printed on the wall label.<\/li>\n<li>Use all lower case in medium(s) field (i.e. \u201coil on canvas\u201d or \u201cintaglio\u201d)<\/li>\n<li>Submit one label per object.<\/li>\n<li>If you have a series or grouping but want only one label for the set, submit one label and title it accordingly \u2013 e.g. \u201cComposition Series #1 \u2013 #10\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Museum will not print custom labels. This info should be included in your artist statement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A price list will be in the gallery that provides visitors with an itemized list of your work and sales prices. Prices are not included on tombstone labels.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If your work is not for sale, type \u201cNFS\u201d in the sale price field.<\/li>\n<li>If you have a series and want one label but prices differ for each object, submit one label and send Krista an email explaining your customized pricing statement.<\/li>\n<li>Past examples of sample price lists \u00a0and\u00a0 gallery maps may be helpful to clarify pricing.<\/li>\n<li>If prices vary for groupings of objects, organize them into categories and have one price for the set. For example, \u201csmall prints $50 or large prints $75\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Framed and unframed versions of prints may require a pricing structure for both.<\/li>\n<li>Ask your advisor for advice BEFORE determining pricing. <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/art343\/pricing-your-artwork\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Things to consider when pricing your artwork.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your work will be covered under the college insurance policy during the exhibition.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You must provide an insurance value for all artwork. Insurance companies require past sales records for claims so values should be reasonable.<\/li>\n<li>Enter an insurance value for individual objects or one value for the TOTAL value of an installation.<\/li>\n<li>Enter a TOTAL value for a series of objects once in the insurance column.<\/li>\n<li>The insurance value is usually the same as the sales price.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Label\/Price List Options<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Label List &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/u\/0\/folders\/14rGXwjC8R1n85ZAC1SohIjE5KitOcukn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pricing Samples<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A label list works well for a condensed series or a group of works. Create a numbered list matching to the installation in a Word doc, JPG or PDF and email to Krista Anderson-Larson.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Map &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/u\/0\/folders\/14WRtsCdK54SVsA02L_cQ_RBfAg1cGPXl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Map Samples<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Making a map of the wall installation is a good option if you have multiple pieces in a grid or salon style display. Number your works and create a corresponding diagram for titles and prices. Create the map in a Word doc, JPG or PDF and email to Krista.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please contact Krista who has examples of previous labeling\/price list solutions for more information or with any questions if you have special requests regarding your labels or pricing list.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Label submission is final.
