A Caffeine Conundrum!

November 30, 2021 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Event info:

How much caffeine is really in that large coffee? And why do I get headaches when I don’t get my fill every morning? Caffeine is the chemical that gets the world out of bed every morning, but to what extent have we become reliant on it. This presentation will be hosted by Jack Haselhorst and seeks to explore caffeine addictions/dependencies and how a college student’s schedule may revolve around caffeine more than we think. Participants will learn about what caffeine really is and how it affects the body while accomplishing three learning objectives: learn about the signs of caffeine dependence, learn about how much caffeine is a sustainable amount to ingest, learn about differences in caffeine concentrations across beverages. This presentation is intended for all St. Olaf students and is open to all to attend.
