"Amazing" by POC Ole Theatre

The juxtaposition of how gorgeous our (black people’s) hair is to the way it’s perceived and then how we overcome that. Essentially, the piece will be a number of different vignettes about universal black/natural hair experiences that tie together in the final scene(s). The purpose is to explain the hardships and discrimination black people face regarding hair while celebrating the joy that it brings and the beauty it represents.
