Boe Steinway Dedication Recital: Soojung Hong, piano

Faculty, staff, students, and the wider community are welcome to attend this faculty/guest recital featuring Soojung Hong, piano, and celebrating the new Steinway piano in Boe Memorial Chapel.

Dr. Soojung Hong has won national and international recognition as a pianist, and performs as a soloist or with ensemble throughout the Midwest and beyond. Her work highlights the music of female composers. See this dedication in her video production of Fanny Mendelssohn’s cycle “Das Jahr” (“The Year”)—supported by the Minnesota State Arts Board’s Artist Initiative Grant— among other notable projects.

Dr. Hong is also a devoted educator, and many college campuses welcome her master class presentations and competition adjudications. Notably, she serves as Founder and Artist Director for the PianoFun Minnesota Festival, a piano professor at Normandale Community College, and a piano faculty member at MacPhail Center for Music and North Central University.

This event is free and open to the public.
