Diversity, Decolonialization and the German Curriculum, Second Biannual Conference
March 1 @ 8:00 am - March 3 @ 12:00 pm
Post-secondary-level instructors and graduate students discuss pedagogical approaches, course design, instructional materials, and other ways of diversifying and decolonizing the teaching of German Studies. The goal of the conference is to help to shape German Studies as more inclusive and socially critical, and in so doing, to highlight the field’s relevance to students, educators, and the public. Conference events include presentations, a keynote address by Priscilla Layne (UNC-Chapel Hill), a roundtable discussion, and curriculum and syllabi workshops.
St. Olaf faculty members are invited to attend any part of the conference, with support of a To Include is to Excel grant. The whole community is invited to attend Dr. Layne’s keynote address on March 1.
