Alyssa Howells graduated from Saint Olaf with majors in Women’s Studies and Psychology in 2011. As a St. Joseph Worker she served at Cornerstone Advocacy Services as a crisis advocate answering the domestic violence hotline and helping at the shelter. After her St. Joseph Worker year she worked a variety of jobs ranging from outdoor wilderness therapy to the service industry, but never moved away from the Twin Cities. Today she works for the nonprofit that promotes, fundraises and helps to market the St. Joseph Worker Program – the Sisters of St. Joseph Ministries Foundation.
