James M. May Lecture in Classics

Professor of Classics at the University of Virginia, Dr. John F. Miller, will virtually deliver the Fourth Annual James M. May Lecture in Classics. His talk, “Contesting Muses,” explores how the ancient poet Ovid stages the strange scenario of the Muses disagreeing with one another and how a Renaissance Latin imitator resolves the difficulty.
