Lecture: Denise McCoskey on Classics and Race

Miami University of Ohio Professor Denise McCoskey will deliver a public lecture on the intersections of Classics and race. Her lecture, titled “Race mixing” and the fall of Rome: The role of eugenics in early 20^th century classical scholarship,” will share some of her latest research. McCoskey is most recently the “Antiquity” editor for Bloomsbury’s 6-volume A Cultural History of Race (2021). The lecture is free and open to the public.
