New York University Masters in Publishing: Digital and Print Media program

April 29 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The MS in Publishing offers students a real-workplace foundation in book publishing and digital/magazine media. The program, taught by top executives in publishing and media, helps students develop skills in creating and editing content for multiple platforms and formats including print, web, mobile, video, audiobooks, ebooks, and podcasts. Courses in sales, marketing and publicity, finance, digital, and more provide a deep understanding of all key publishing functions. Global volunteer opportunities, a roster of industry visits, and an internship program provide in-depth knowledge of how publishing functions. Students may enroll in a full-time schedule (attending courses four evenings a week) or part-time to accommodate work and internship duties.
This two-year degree program provides students with a practical foundation in book publishing and digital/magazine media. Students may apply for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semesters. Through a combination of classroom learning taught by esteemed industry professionals and hands-on computer laboratory study of key digital formats and social media, the MS in Publishing helps students to master the skills required for success in today’s publishing workplace.
Classes are held in the evening to support students working in the industry or gaining internship experience. Industry visits, networking events, and global opportunities to volunteer at conferences and book fairs ensure that students have access to every aspect of the world of publishing.
