The St. Olaf Band, conducted by Dr. Timothy Mahr, will perform throughout the Midwest during its 2021 fall tour. Founded in 1891, the St. Olaf Band performs the very best compositions and transcriptions for symphonic band, producing an exciting, crowd-pleasing style, and was dubbed “one of America’s preeminent bands” by The New Yorker.

The St. Olaf Band is excited to resume its touring tradition and to bring you live musical performances. For the safety of everyone, St. Olaf College has required all faculty, staff, students and guests on campus to be fully vaccinated by the start of the fall 2021 semester, which includes members of the St. Olaf Band.
In accordance with the CDC’s recent guidance, face coverings will be required at indoor performances involving St. Olaf students. This includes – but is not limited to – staff, students, and audience members at a venue. Ticket holders not wearing a mask will not be allowed entry into the performance. Additionally, if you have COVID-19 symptoms, we respectfully ask that you not attend the concert.
St. Olaf musicians will use bell covers and wear “player masks.” We do not require social distancing for our musicians or for audience members.
In addition to the protocols established by St. Olaf for their own campus community, the St. Olaf Band will adhere to the COVID-19 protocols of each tour venue. Please reach your local venue for any ongoing and updated information on their policies (add link and venue name).
We’ve taken many steps to provide the safest possible concert experience, and hope that you will join us.
