The St. Olaf Orchestra, conducted by Professor of Music Steven Amundson, presents a concert for family weekend. Widely recognized as one of the finest undergraduate orchestras in the United States, the St. Olaf Orchestra has been featured on NPR and PBS and was the 2013 winner of the American Prize in Orchestral Performance.
As we prepare to welcome audiences back to our on-campus performances this fall, St. Olaf College continues to keep the health and safety of everyone on campus — guests, students, staff, and faculty — as our first priority. We will continue to implement protocols and procedures to ensure that our concert experiences are as safe and enjoyable as possible. Protocols are based on guidelines from the CDC and the Minnesota Department of Health. Protocols are updated on an ongoing basis and can be found at https://wp.stolaf.edu/covid-19/.
St. Olaf has required all new and returning faculty, staff, and students to be fully vaccinated by the start of the fall 2021 semester, which includes members of the St. Olaf music ensembles.
In accordance with the CDC’s recent guidance, face coverings will be required for all indoor events on campus. Out of an abundance of caution, these safety measures apply to all on-campus concert guests and audience members. Masking is considered one of the most effective ways to reduce transmission. By attending a concert at St. Olaf College, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19. If you are not masked upon arrival, you will not be allowed entrance to the concert.
For continual updates to the St. Olaf College policies related to guests on campus, please check our website at https://wp.stolaf.edu/covid-19/.
We’ve taken many steps to provide the safest possible concert experience, and hope that you will return on the Hill to experience live music again with us.
