The St. Olaf Orchestra, conducted by Steven Amundson, presents a winter concert at 3:30p.m. in Skoglund Auditorium.
This would have been the orchestra’s Home Concert following a tour of the Pacific Northwest. The tour was canceled due to the omicron surge, but the orchestra remained on campus for rehearsals and will present their tour repertoire and share the excited spirit of a Home Concert with audiences on campus and online.
Highlights of the program include Amundson’s new work “Gratia Viva” and alumni composer Matthew Peterson’s Symphony No. 1: The Singing Wilderness, which was commissioned for this tour and depicts the beauty of the Northwoods. The concert also features student soloists Elijah Schouten ’23 on clarinet and Amelia Podolny ’23 on cello.
This concert is free and open to the general public. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for admittance, and masks are required.
