SUMMARY:Manitou Singers and Viking Chorus Concert
DESCRIPTION:Manitou Singers\, conducted by Therees Hibbard\, and Viking Chorus\, conducted by Paolo Debuque\, present a joint Spring concert. \nComprised of alto and soprano voices from the first-year class\, the Manitou Singers is one of the most popular music organizations on the St. Olaf College campus. With a repertoire that ranges from sacred to secular to popular ballads\, the 100-voice choir sings at the opening worship service of the college as well as at various campus functions throughout the year. \nThe Viking Chorus of St. Olaf College is a choir of first-year tenors and basses who carry on a legacy of a chorus singing since its founding in 1935. Featuring a broad repertoire with an emphasis on sacred music\, the low voices of Viking sing motets\, cantata movements\, and anthems\, as well as contemporary choral pieces\, spirituals\, folksongs\, and more. \nLive stream available at https://www.stolaf.edu/multimedia/streams/upcoming/concerts.
