DESCRIPTION:The University of Memphis proudly welcomes the renowned St. Olaf Band to the Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center for an unforgettable evening of music under the direction of  Henry Dorn (BM ’10)\, a celebrated composer\, conductor\, and proud alumnus returning home to his alma mater. \nKnown as one of the finest collegiate wind ensembles in the nation\, the St. Olaf Band brings its signature artistry\, precision\, and spirit to Memphis for one night only. Led by Dorn\, the ensemble continues its legacy of excellence\, innovation\, and emotional storytelling through music. \nDorn’s journey has come full circle\, from his early days studying composition and conducting at the University of Memphis to leading one of America’s most respected college bands. His nationally acclaimed works have been performed by the Minnesota Orchestra\, the Harlem Quartet\, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra\, among others.
