DESCRIPTION:The Institute for Freedom & Community and The Lutheran Center are co-hosting “Learning to Disagree: A Conversation with John Inazu.”  The talk is part of the IFC’s spring series\, Democracy and Dialogue. It will be streamed and available for on-demand viewing online.  \nJohn Inazu’s scholarship focuses on the First Amendment freedoms of speech\, assembly\, and religion\, and related questions of legal and political theory. His books include Liberty’s Refuge: The Forgotten Freedom of Assembly (Yale University Press\, 2012) and Confident Pluralism: Surviving and Thriving Through Deep Difference (University of Chicago Press\, 2016)\, and most recently\, Learning to Disagree: The Surprising Path to Navigating Differences with Empathy and Respect (Zondervan\, 2024).  \nAll are welcome to attend the talk. \nThis event is made possible with support from the Ruth Michelsen McGaffey Endowment
