DESCRIPTION:A pre-concert talk will take place at 3 p.m. between Assistant Professor of Music and Conductor of the St. Olaf Band Henry L. Dorn and Katahj Copley\, composer of “Amerykahn Graffiti”. The St. Olaf Band will present the world premiere of this major work\, which Copley describes as “a reimagining of Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition\, painted in sound and soul\, it is a journey through the Black experience — our joy\, our wounds\, our beauty\, our rage.” \nThe concert will begin at 3:30 p.m.
