href=\"https:\/\/hsrm.umn.edu\/department-environmental-health-safety\/regulated-waste\/chemical-waste-registry-searchable-database\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chemical Waste Registry Searchable Database<\/a>\u00a0to classify substances through a two-part designation code: the Hazard Class and the Disposal Type. \u00a0For example, if a substance has a DDC\u00a0of 02LI then it is a liquid inorganic acid.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hazard Class. <\/strong>The first part of the DDC consists of two digits that designate the chemical\u2019s primary hazard as it relates to the Department of
