Where will the Class of 2020 Commencement ceremony be held?
Baccalaureate and the Commencement ceremony will take place on Mellby Lawn.

Can guests/parents/family members participate and attend in-person?
Family members and guests are welcome to participate in all Friday and Saturday activities.

How many guests can each Class of 2020 graduate have?

There is no limit to the number of guests who can attend, and no physical ticket is required.

Do I need to bring my cap, gown, and tassel with me for the commencement ceremony?
A majority of members of the Class of 2020 had commencement cap, gown, and tassel sent to them; we encourage those individuals to bring those with them. Additional regalia can be purchased in the bookstore on campus.

What is available for food and beverage during Commencement Weekend?
The Friday Grad Gala will feature many of the award-winning creations of Bon Appetit and will feature many student favorites from a variety of food stations. Beverages, including beer and wine, will be available for purchase. The Grad Gala will be held in Regents Hall.

The brunch after Baccalaureate and before Commencement will be held in Stav Hall.

Is alcohol permitted on campus?
Alcohol will be available for sale at the Grad Gala for the Class of 2020 and of-age family members.

What COVID-19 protocols will be in place? Do I need to wear a mask?
Currently Minnesota regulations call for the mask mandate and distancing protocols to expire on May 28, 2021. The college will continue to follow the guidance of the Minnesota Department of Health for events, dining, and gatherings. 

Can we stay in the residence halls? How do I sign up and which building will we be staying in?
One residence hall will be made available only for the graduates of the Class of 2020 for Friday, August 13. The cost per residence hall room is $30/night. Lodging is available for Friday night for the class of 2020 graduates only. Additional lodging will not be available for guests and family members.

Can we choose our roommates in the residence halls?
Yes! When you register for housing on the registration site, you can indicate your choice of roommate. The site will allow you to let us know if you or your guests have special needs or desired service accommodations.

Do I need to bring sheets, pillow, and towels for Friday night?
Each member of the Class of 2020 who makes a reservation for Friday night in a residence hall will receive a packet that includes sheets and towels. You are welcome to bring your own pillow.
