This is an important first step in promoting your on-campus event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you submit an event, it will remain in a queue until it is reviewed and approved by a member of the Marketing and Communications staff. Once it is approved, it will appear on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stolaf.edu\/calendar\/\">St. Olaf master calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is it news?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Events on the calendar that are open to the public will also be included in a weekly news release sent to area media outlets ranging from the <em>Northfield News<\/em> to the <em>Star Tribune<\/em> to Minnesota Public Radio. Your event must be on the master calendar in order to be included in this news release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because the links for calendar entries are shared with the media, it is <em>extremely important<\/em> that the entries are accurate and include a fulsome, well-written description.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Find tips for <a href=\"https:\/\/wp.stolaf.edu\/communications\/calendar-guide\/composing-an-entry\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"703\">composing a calendar entry<\/a> in the menu above.
