Residential Camps and Conferences

Each summer the campus hums with activity as St. Olaf College opens its campus to guests. The campus is an idyllic summer location for groups requiring overnight accommodations. Guests enjoy the beautiful grounds and the convenience of centrally located meeting spaces, dining hall, residence halls and recreation facility.

The campus is within walking distance of historic downtown Northfield with its charming shops, river walks, eateries and parks.

St. Olaf is an ideal venue for:

Residential Facilities 

Air-conditioned and non air-conditioned residence halls are available with single and double rooms during the summer. Bathrooms are shared. Each residence hall has Wifi access.

Catering and Meal Plans 

In Stav Hall, Bon Appetit offers full meal plans that feature a variety of fresh, wholesome selections geared to please all ages. For informal meals and snacks, the Lion’s Cage offers a coffee bar, short order meals, beverages, snacks, soups, salads and sandwiches. In addition, Bon Appetit caters served and buffet meals, breaks, box lunches, receptions and picnics.

Bon Appétit is the exclusive catering service of St. Olaf College and will design a menu for your event’s specific needs.

For the comfort and safety of your guests, no alcoholic beverages are permitted on campus.  Bon Appétit offers fine non-alcoholic wines and beers, including sparkling wines suitable for toasting. Samples are available on request.

Committed to your convenience, we offer free parking, bookstore, print center, post office, audiovisual and technical support.


Uniformed security officers patrol the campus and are on cal 24 hours a day. Occupied residence halls are staffed during the evening hours.

Insurance Policy:  Renting space at St. Olaf College requires an event insurance agreement between the party and a insurance provider of the choice. Agreement must list St. Olaf College as a  that includes St. Olaf College as an additional insured party for general liability ($2,000,000 minimum liability).
