Job Description: <\/b>To assist the Technical Director of\u00a0 the Dance Department with the setup, running and\u00a0 striking of Dance Department and Dance\u00a0 Department sponsored performances as well as\u00a0 maintenance of theatrical equipment and storage.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities: <\/b>Hang and focus\u00a0 lights, Run cable, Setup various audio and visual\u00a0 equipment, Stage Manage, Assistant Stage Manage,\u00a0 Operate ETC Ion light board, Setup and run audio\u00a0 and video on Q-Lab, Operate Sound Board and Com\u00a0 units, Operate Fly Rail, Organize props and sets,\u00a0 Setup, clean, and strike Vinyl Dance Floor, Hang and\u00a0 Focus lights, Maintain Theatrical Equipment and Dance Performance\u00a0 Space, Observe safety at all times\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong> Assist in construction of costume elements for the Veselica dance productions, Maintain and launder costumes, Assist in maintaining costume stock, Assist in general costume room upkeep<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong> Some knowledge of costume construction, Some knowledge of hand and machine sewing techniques,\u00a0Ability to work independently<\/p>\n

Dance Musician\u00a0<\/b>

Job Description: <\/b>To provide musical accompaniment for dance classes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/b>Providing musical leadership to dance students,\u00a0 Playing fluently in all keys and time signatures,\u00a0 Keeping track of form and phrases for extended\u00a0 lengths of time, Improvising alone and leading\u00a0 improvisation within a group, Adapting the music\u00a0 to the energy, tempo, dynamic and style of the\u00a0 dancers, Creating new phrases for any dance\u00a0 routine, Recalling previous phrases per request of\u00a0 the instructor\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dance Department Video Engineer<\/b>

Job Description: <\/b>To record, document and process all Dance performances, auditions, showings and other dance events that need to be posted and archived.<\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong> Operate digital camcorder and tripod, to record performances, showings, auditions and other dance department events and then import, edit and process the videos for archival and web applications. Communicate with Technical Director to ensure quality of recordings, edits and final products.<\/p>\n

Qualifications:<\/strong> Digital Camera and tripod operation. Experience or willingness to learn digital\u00a0technologies- a\/v editing, web development, file management (Final Cut Pro, Premiere, Compressor, FileZilla, WordPress, Google Spreadsheets). Must be able to acceptably record dance events. Ability to work with minimal supervision.<\/p>\n

\n

Costume Assistant
\n<\/strong>Supervisor: Dance Faculty\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Job Description:<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/span>Work in the CAD Costume Room organizing and constructing costumes for dance productions. Sewing skills and the ability to work independently are essential.<\/span><\/p>\n

Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong> Sew costumes, Launder costumes, Organize and iron costumes, Perform miscellaneous dance department tasks for supervisor.<\/p>\n

Skills: <\/strong>Prior experience in constructing garments, Know how to use a sewing machine, Know how to use a serger, Hand sewing including sewing on buttons and snaps, Know how to work with patterns (including laying them out on the fabric and cutting pieces out), Organizational skills<\/p>\n
