Admitted Student Day programs

The April 4 and April 18 Admitted Student Day programs are very similar each day (same session offerings, some different panelists and presenters). The day begins with check-in at the Buntrock Commons and breakfast in Stav Hall. The formal program begins in Boe Memorial Chapel at 9 a.m. The day includes a variety of information sessions by faculty, staff, and students, plus lunch and campus tours. The program ends around 3 p.m.

Campus and Class Visits prior to Admitted Student Days

Many admitted students and their guests elect to visit campus the Friday before Admitted Student Day. On Friday, students may attend classes, and meet faculty, coaches, or conductors. Guests may tour the campus and enjoy a meal in Stav Hall. We are eager to assist in crafting a schedule that meets your needs. We’ll have a number of class visit options for Friday, April 3 (before the Admitted Student Day 1 program) or Friday, April 17 (before the Admitted Student Day 2 program). Please use the registration links above to schedule a visit and indicate what you would like to do while on campus.

Overnight Visits for Admitted Student Days

You can indicate your interest in an overnight visit on the campus visit registration form. Please plan to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, and necessary personal items. Ideally we ask that you plan to arrive between 5 and 7 p.m. (if the Friday overnight visit is your first event on Friday); doing so allows you to meet your host for dinner. If you are already on campus earlier in the day, we will schedule your meeting with the overnight host accordingly. Please submit your request for a Friday visit no later than March 27 (for the April 4 Admitted Student Day program) or April 10 (for the April 18 Admitted Student Day program).

Reception for Parents

Friday, April 3, and Friday, April 17
Parents of admitted students are cordially invited to meet other parents of admitted students and members of the college’s senior leadership team at a special reception in St. Paul, Minnesota. We will host two events, one prior to each Admitted Student Day, Friday, April 3, or Friday, April 17. Please join us from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at The Saint Paul Hotel located at 350 Market Street in St. Paul, MN, just 10 miles from the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP) and about 45 miles north of the St. Olaf campus. Please register for this reception either on the Admitted Student Day registration form or click HERE.

Family members or other guests who would like overnight accommodations in or near Northfield can find hotel information here. If you prefer to stay within the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, you can hotel information here.

Please also note, we’ve reserved blocks of rooms at The Saint Paul Hotel for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.  To reserve a room, please call The Saint Paul Hotel’s reservation line at 800-292-9292 and ask for the St. Olaf College – Parent Reception block to get the offered discounted rate. These rooms will be held until March 25.
