The screencasts incorporate material that is difficult to obtain outside of expensive introductory textbooks that are increasingly omitted from required book lists.<\/p>\n<p>The screencast format makes this often-dry material more accessible and engaging, and because it enables a \u201cflipped classroom\u201d approach, makes it possible to spend more class time in discussion and the sharing of diverse perspectives.
