The Sett i gang web portal<\/a>\u00a0is a rich source of resources for teaching and learning beginning Norwegian. The portal serves as a digital workbook and companion to the introductory Norwegian textbooks\u00a0Sett i gang 1<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Sett i gang 2<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Work on the web portal progressed in three phases beginning with a CURI<\/a> project (Collaborative Undergraduate Research and Inquiry) in the summer of 2014.\u00a0 The website provides students worldwide with free interactive resources such as flashcards, language exercises, and audio and visual materials related to introductory Norwegian curriculum.<\/p>\n

DHH support for Sett i gang has fostered a significant expansion of digital resources for beginning Norwegian language students. The materials and activities are informed by multiple research findings on effective practice in technology-enhanced language teaching.
