Naomi Rushing – Visiting Instructor, Environmental Studies<\/h2>\n\n

Podcasts have been described as on-demand internet radio. In the last decade, podcasts have become an essential tool for storytelling and delivering news. In this assignment, students worked together with their assigned learning groups to create a podcast about one of the environmental issues that we were learning about in class and its impact in a specific area of the world. Groups reported on a recent news story from their region, adding additional background and context to flesh out the story. Podcasts were played at the beginning of the corresponding class to introduce the new topic and to spark interest and discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n
