Reviewing the nursing admissions process, the goal was to reflect a holistic approach and identify sustainable curricular practices which promote student retention and resilience.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning level sophomore nursing students attended in alternating weeks a positive psychology seminar and a formal mentoring program led by upper class nursing students. Additional thick descriptions were obtained from student mentors and beginning level nursing students at the completion of the resilience.
